Formerly 1st Cowan Heights Scout Group, we're a volunteer-run Scouts Canada group meeting weekly in the west end of St. John's. Our program is built around fun, friendship, and growing good humans.

Each section is age-tailored and meets on Thursday evenings, so siblings can participate the same night — back to back!

Can be paid in advance. Covers crafts, activities, and supplies.
3–4 camps per year at our own cabin.
Campers will need basic personal gear — a sleeping bag and a sleeping pad or air mattress are the main essentials. That said, we encourage families not to spend a lot on camping equipment, especially at this age. A basic sleeping bag and a simple foam pad are perfectly fine. If you're unsure what to grab, just ask us — we're happy to point you in the right direction without breaking the bank.
Our program is entirely run by adult volunteers called "Scouters." Full training is provided — no prior experience necessary. We genuinely cannot run without parent support.
15–20 hours at your own pace. Must be completed within 90 days of registering as a Scouter.
Just 1 hour per week, plus ~30 minutes prep time for meeting materials.
3–4 camps per year — each a 1 or 2 night overnight at our group's own cabin.
All Scouters complete a PRC/VSC background check through the RNC — required to protect all youth in our care.
All new members begin in September 2026. Youth registration opens June 1, 2026 at MyScouts.ca.
